About Me

Hi! Welcome to my blog. Thank you for stopping by.

Hmm. About me. I am a former school teacher and a stay-at-home mom to little ones. I have many stories, thoughts, and hopes that I would like to share with my children – my 2030 adult children. I figure, why not share it now? And with everyone?

I hope you enjoy reading!

To my 2030 sons:

This is for you. When I first started writing this blog, I decided to buy the domain name and just write. I was already writing many of my thoughts before that –- all in my head. I knew I needed to write them down because I felt pulled to share with you. Not now, obviously. You’re preschoolers. But I just wanted you to learn about your mom, as I would love to read my own mother’s thoughts while she was in the process of raising me.

Interestingly, I wouldn’t care too much to read my mom’s thoughts about me during that time. I already know she thought I didn’t eat enough, had a sharp tongue and a flair for the dramatic. Haha. Yet, I’d love to know her personal struggles, hopes, fears, real opinions about politics and religion, etc. back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. What did she think about the world back then? What was she going through?

I realize I could ask her these questions now, but she honestly doesn’t remember them all. She remembers some things, but she has changed. Life has changed, and whatever was may not be exactly what she remembers. It would be great to know it all in full detail. It would be a gift.

So, I want to give that gift to you. Of course, I don’t know if you will take the time to read this, or if you will just be reading this with a sense of obligation, or if you, as I hope, are reading because you are curious. No matter what the case is for you in 2030, I know that this is good for me, and in a strange, roundabout way, it is good for you, too.

I don’t claim to be anyone special. Heck, I’m not even that great of a writer. But I love you, and I just can’t help myself. I hope you enjoy reading!

P.S.  I’d like to link my very first blog post to you here. It just fits.
